Asaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM,) on the 6th of October, addressed a public rally in Aurangabad.

 During the rally, Mr. Owaisi shared his  views about the Indian National Congress’ (INC) stand in the political spectrum in the upcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra. He said, “The Congress has been wiped out from the political spectrum of the country. It can’t be revived even by a calcium injection.”

Asaduddin Owaisi also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its recent bill in Himachal Pradesh. The BJP passed Himachal Pradesh Freedom of Religious Bill, 2019 on the 31st of August.

 According to the bill, no one should force, influence or manipulate anyone to converse their religion and if one wants to converse, they have to give a month’s notice for the same.

Asaduddin Owaisi said, “I will not be surprised if (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi brings such bill in Parliament.”

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) had contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra incoalition with the Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh (BBM) of PrakashAmbedkar under the aegis of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA). The VBA had won Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat.

The AIMIM is going to contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections from the Aurangabad constituency.

Maharashtra will contest 288 Assembly seats in the upcoming elections, scheduled on the 21st of October.

The results of the Maharashtra elections will be announced on the 24th of October.
