Brussels Attacks: Infosys Engineer Missing

New Delhi: After the bomb blasts on Tuesday, an Indian software engineer Raghavendran Ganeshan has been reported missing in the Brussels. Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj confirmed the news on her micro-blogging site, Twitter.

She shared the picture and wrote –

“Indians in Brussels – This is the picture of Raghavendran Ganesh.”

“I hv spoken to Raghavendran’s mother Mrs Annapoorni.”

“I assured her that we will spare no effort to locate her son in Brussels.”

Nearly four years back, Raghavendran Ganeshan was sent to Belgium to work there. His colleague, Dhaval Ved said that it has been more than 24 hours since contact with Mr. Ganeshan stopped.

In a statement, Infosys has said: “Following the attacks in Brussels, Infosys reached out to all its employees in the city to ascertain their whereabouts and safety. With the exception of one employee who we are trying to reach, we have been able to connect with all other employees. We are in touch with the missing employee’s family and are working with the Indian Embassy and local authorities in Brussels to locate our employee on priority.”
