On Monday, the Delhi High Court lashed out at the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) dharna inside the residence of Governor Anil Bajjal. The Court questioned the party who authorized the dharna.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been on a sit in protest at the Raj Niwas since the 11th of June. Along with Kejriwal cabinet ministers Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain and Gopal Rai joined the dharna.
The AAP is demanding directions to end the undeclared strike by IAS officers under the Delhi administration. The Court was hearing two petitions, one against Kejriwal’s dharna and the second against the alleged strike by the IAS officers.
The Court is yet to issue an order or directive in this case and fixed 22nd June for the hearing. Kejriwal has earlier claimed IAS officers were only working on important files and not responding to the minister’s calls or messages.
However, the IAS association has denied the allegations by the AAP and said they were not on a strike.
