The Rebel leader of the Shiv Sena Mr. Eknath Shinde, toppled the Uddhav Thackeray led Maharashtra Government, and has now become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
A day after the resignation of Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stake claims to form the Maharashtra Government. The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis named Mr. Eknath Shinde, who has the support of over 39 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) as the new Chief Minister of the State.
After the announcement, Mr. Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, at 7:30 P.M., during an even organised at the Raj Bhava, Maharashtra. The Governor of Maharashtra Mr. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, administered the oath of the office to Mr. Eknath Shinde.
Furthermore, while Mr. Eknath Shinde got the Chief Minister post, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, who was expected to take oath as the Chief Minister for a third time, settled with the Deputy Chief Minister’s post.
With the new government under the leadership of Mr. Eknath Shinde, it is to be noted the ideologies of the founder of the Shiv Sena Mr. Balashahed Thackeray would be followed.
While taking the oath as the State CM. Mr. Eknath Shinde, who was agitating against the three parties government (Maha Vikas Aghadi) claimed to follow the ideals of his ‘guru’ Mr. Bala Saheb Thackeray. Ahead of the swearing in ceremony, Shinde changed his Twitter DP to the image of late Balasaheb Thackeray.
Meanwhile, talking about the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Eknath Shinde, he was an auto-driver, turned politician, who worked as a Shiv Sainik, under the leadership of Mr. Balasaheb Thackeray. With his constant work towards the party, the 58 year old Shinde became a close aid of the Shiv Sena party. In addition, under the Uddhav Thackeray led government, Mr. Eknath Shinde held important Cabinet portfolios.
