In Gujarat, the State Police arrested a person who was seen unscrewing and removing a bolt of the mandap while Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi was addressing a public meeting.
It is to be noted, on the 31st of October, PM Narendra Modi was addressing a public meeting as he laid the foundation stone of several projects worth over Rs. 8,000 crores in Banaskatha’s Tharad. While the PM was delivering the speech, the accused, seen in a viral video, was allegedly removing the bolt and screw of the mandap, organised for the public meeting, which could have caused a major accident.
Although the incident took place in Tharad, Gujarat on 31st October 2022, it came to light after a video of the man unscrewing the bolt went viral on social media platforms. Netizens shared the video, demanding the arrest of the accused and a thorough investigation into the matter. Taking note of the viral video, the Gujarat Police identified the person seen in the video and arrested him for further questioning.
The arrested person was identified as Sendhabhai Rajgo, a resident of Tharad village, Gujarat. Furthermore, as per an initial investigation by the Gujarat Police and local Crime Branch, the accused Rajgo is said to be unscrewing the bolt of the mandap absentmindedly with no specific motive.
However, the police took a suo moto cognizance case as no first information report (FIR) was registered in this regard.
The police registered a case and an investigation into the matter is underway.
