The daily cases of the Wuhan virus are rising constantly in India, raising alarming concerns for people and the concerned administration. Although compared to the 24th of June, the cases registered on the 25th of June are less in number.
On the 24th of June, India registered 17,336 new cases with 13 fatalities. On the next day, Saturday, the 25th of June, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 15,940 new Wuhan virus cases, with 20 fatalities. In addition, the Health Ministry also reported 12,425 recovered cases in the past 24 hours. However, compared to yesterday, on Saturday India registered 8% lower Wuhan virus cases.
With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Saturday, India has a total tally of Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,27,61,481 are recovered/discharged cases, 91,779 are active cases and 5,24,974 death cases, till date. The new cases were confirmed after conducting sample tests for the Wuhan virus, taking the tally to 85.98 crores till date.
Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.20% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.60% with a 1.21% fatality rate.
Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 196.94 crore vaccine doses.
