The single day Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in India continued to be below 55,000 for the 10 consecutive days.
In the past 24 hours, India recorded 51,667 new COVID-19 cases, 1,329 deaths and 64,527 recovered/discharged cases. The cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 25th of June, Friday.
In addition, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) confirmed 39,95,68,448 samples for COVID-19 were tested. Of the total, 17,35,781 samples were tested on Thursday, the 24th of June.
With this, India has 3,01,34,445 positive cases of which 6,12,868 active cases, 2,91,28,267 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,93,310 deceased cases. In addition, the recovery rate of India also improved to 96.61 %.
The updated figures are available on the official website of the Union Ministry Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) According to the Ministry, India is the second country with the highest number of COVID-19 cases, the first nation is the United States of America (U.S.A.)
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said, till date a total of 30,79,48,744 people have been vaccinated against the Wuhan virus infection. Of the total, 60,73,912 people were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
