In Telangana, the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reported 1,175 new cases on the 22nd of June.
Compared to the 21st of June, Telangana on Tuesday, the 22nd of June reported 22 less COVID-19 cases. On Monday, the 21st of June, the State registered 1,197 new cases, which reduced to 1,175 the next day (Tuesday.)
Besides the new Wuhan virus cases, Telangana reported 10 deaths and 1,771 recovered/discharged cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The updated figures of the deadly Wuhan virus were confirmed through a health bulletin, released to the media updating about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana. The State Health Department releases the bulletin everyday at 8:00 P.M.
According to the health bulletin released on the 22nd of June, Telangana has 6,15,574 positive cases, of which 16,640 are active cases, 5,95,348 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,586 are deceased cases.
In Telangana, the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of cases with 133 cases followed by Nalgonda (84,) Khammam (76) and Suryapet (72.)
In addition, the bulletin read, “Over 87 thousand samples were tested on Tuesday. Cumulatively, over 1.77 crore samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population were over 4.77 lakh.” In the past 24 hours, the Telangana Medical Department conducted 1,19,537 sample tests for COVID-19, taking the total to 1,76,45,176 till the 23rd of June.
With this, Telangana has a 96.71 % recovery rate from COVID-19 with a 0.58 % fatality rate.
