The Telangana Education Department directed teachers working in government schools to report for duty on the 25th of June.  The Telangana Education Minister P. The School Education Department issued a circular directing all teachers of government, model schools, KGBVs, TREIS, government aided and DIET colleges to attend their respective schools and colleges from the 25th of June.

While the teachers were asked to report on the 25th of June, the State Government is planning to resume offline classes from the 1st of July.

k.Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced to reopen schools and educational institutions from the 1st of July.  The decision was taken on the 19th of June, during a meeting held to discuss the then imposed lockdown.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government lifted the lockdown from the 20th of June and announced to reopen schools across Telangana.

The School Education Department has proposed to start physical classes for Classes 8, 9 and 10 from July 1 and it will function from 9.30 A.M., to 3.30 P.M.

However, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party opposed the decision and criticised the KCR Government.  Besides the BJP, the National Students Union of India (NSUI) also expressed concern over the decision of reopening schools and educational institutions from the 1st of July.  The NSUI President B.
