India, with nearly 70,000 new Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases crossed 37 lakhs marks till the 1st of September.
In the last 24 hours, India recorded 69,921 cases and 819 deaths.
The new updates about the Novel Coronavirus cases were updated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW,) on the morning of the 1st of September.
With the new updates, India has 36,91,167 cases, which include 7,85,996 active cases, 28,39,883 cured/discharged cases and 65,288 deceased.
Total coronavirus cases in the worst-hit state of Maharashtra is now more than 8 lakhs.
Top states with the highest number of the COVID-19 infections are: Maharashtra, followed by Andhra Pradesh ( 4,34,771.)
Previously, Tamil Nadu was on the second position in worst COVID-19 hit states.
However, on the 31st of August, after 10,000 plus new cases, Andhra Pradesh became the worst hit State, leaving behind Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu has 4,28,041 cases, followed by Karnataka with 3,42,423 cases and Uttar Pradesh with 2,30,414.
Delhi which was recovering with 90 %, once again started reporting 1,500 plus cases.
Delhi has 1,74,748 positive cases, 1,55,678 recovered/discharged cases and 4,444 deceased.
In West Bengal also, cases are rising rapidly. As many as 1,62,778 people have confirmed COVID-19, of which 1,34,270 recovered and 3,228 people succumbed to it.
In Kerala, which reported the country’s first COVID-19 case, 75,385 people have been detected positive for coronavirus so far.
Meanwhile, globally, 25,652,533 people are infected and as many as 855,018 people died till date.
