After the India-China clash, Indian intelligence agencies asked the Central Government to block a few applications linked to China.
As many as 52 mobile applications are linked to China and are likely to extract data outside India. They said the usage of the 52 applications are unsafe for the Indian Government.
A senior government official close to the development said the National Security Council also supported the suggestions given by Indian intelligence agencies.
The government official who wished to be anonymous, said, “The discussions on the recommendations are continuing.”
Fifty two applications listed for the blockage include:

India always faced security issues on the part of Chinese applications as data used on this application is connected to Chinese servers.
However, the blocking of the above mentioned applications is in talks and users are advised to uninstall and block these applications from iOS and Android phones.
Official notice regarding the ban is yet to be made.
According to sources, it would be a tough call for the Indian Government as some of these apps like TikTok, SHAREit, Bigo Live, Club Factory, Shein, and Helo are contributors to India’s virtual economy.
The ban on aforementioned applications would affect 3 % of Indian economy opening chances of Indian products and American products from sites like Amazon and Walmart.
The decision would also help Indian manufacturers to make Indian products a brand and enhance made in India initiative.
The Central Government would take a final call reading the suggestion made by Indian intelligence agencies.
