Legendary Tollywood actor and a senior BJP leader Krishnam Raju might be appointed as the honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu state. The post has been vacant after Rosaiah ended his term. The governor of Maharastra Vidya Sagar Rao is standing in charge temporarily. Based on reports Krishnam Raju is being considered for the vacant post of Governor.
The actor has previously worked as Union Minister as part of BJP under Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2000 to 2002. If reports are to be believed, BJP is planning to use this move as a step to launch its party in Tamil Nadu by appointing a senior leader in an important position in the state.
The actor who made his debut with ‘Chilaka Gorinka’ in 1966 has a long and successful career. He acted in 190 movies in his career and also established himself as a successful politician under the BJP regime.
