Mumbai: At the Martyrs Day event here yesterday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid tributes to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, who were hanged in Lahore on March 23, 1931.
The social activists have demanded an apology from the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis as they labelled Sukhdev on Bhagat Singh’s picture on Shaheed Day.
CM Devendra Fadnavis and three other officials paid tribute to the photo in an official programme on Martyrs Day, March 23. The government didn’t realise the mistake and sent the wrong pictures as an official press release on the same day.
Condemning the act, social activists have demanded an apology from the CM and immediate suspension of the officials for the goof-up.
