Maruti Suzuki, according to a press release, is all set to launch the much awaited premium compact SUV Ignis in India on January 13. There have been many speculations about the launch of the Ignis SUV launch in India. Finally, Maruti Suzuki is all set to push this premium compact SUV through the Nexa showrooms into the Indian market.
The car is also listed in the Nexa website, making it an addition to S-cross and Baleno, that are dealt through Nexa Premium dealership. The new Ignis was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 and was a runaway hit in the European market when it was launched in 2014.
Engine:
The Ignis will come with a 1.2 litre Boosterjet engine and a 1.3 liter DDiS diesel engine and will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Going further Maruthi Suzuki has a possibility to introduce with automatic transmission.
Design:
The distinctive front face that integrates the striking gaze of the LED headlamps and the strong lines of the front grille are the major plus points for this car. Continued by the robust shoulders that suggest strength while having a simple design that is familiar yet simple. It has a mixture of Cervo’s slit and Swift’s design.
Features:
All the Ignis models have the standard equipment and SZ3 model includes six airbags, air conditioning, DAB radio with Bluetooth, body colored door mirrors, electric windows and five-seat capacity. In addition, there is also Satellite navigation, rear view camera. The SZ5 model has auto air conditioning, dual camera Brake support, keyless entry and start and front fog lamp.
The Ignis is all set to compete against Mahendra KUV100 in India.
With a stunning body and comfy interiors, it is expected to be priced at Rs.10 lakh on road, which is a comfort for the customer.
