Mathura: The mother of Superintendent of Police, Late Mukul Dwivedi who was killed on Thursday in clashes which broke out between police and encroaches during an anti-encroachment drive in Mathura rejected the compensation offered by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and said she wants her son back instead.

“Mujhe paise nahi chahiye, CM mera beta lakar de dein (I don’t want money, CM should bring my son back),” Mathura SP Mukul Dwivedi’s mother told news agency .
“Humse le lein Mukhyamantri Rs 20 lakh, par mera beta wapas kar dein (the CM can take Rs 20 lakhs from us but please bring my son back),” the grieving mother said.
The death toll in the Mathura violence has risen to 21 including two police personnel. An SHO also lost his life in yesterday’s violence. Over 250 people have been detained so far for their involvement in the incident.
