Modi and Tusk Aim to Double India-Poland Trade by 2030

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk have set a target to double trade between India and Poland by 2030.

The leaders announced the goal after their meeting in New Delhi on Thursday, October 22. They also called for the early signing and implementation of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement to create more opportunities for trade and investment.

PM Modi invited Polish companies to invest more in India, highlighting its large market, skilled workers and growing industries. Tusk welcomed Indian investments in Poland and said the country could help Indian businesses expand across Central and Eastern Europe.

Both leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, space research and critical minerals. They also encouraged partnerships between businesses, research centres and start-ups.

The talks covered battery recycling, energy, digital technology and industrial growth. The leaders also discussed improving direct flight links between India and Poland.

They highlighted the importance of stronger shipping links and cooperation between ports to improve trade and supply chains.

The proposed steps aim to expand business ties and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
