India is working to strengthen its role in science, technology and new ideas. Bringing researchers, businesses and experts together can help turn scientific work into useful solutions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on October 27, according to News On Air. He is also expected to address the gathering.
The three-day event brings together scientists, researchers, teachers, policymakers, industry leaders, start-ups and international experts. Discussions will cover 12 areas, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, healthcare, energy, advanced materials and climate science.
The conclave will also feature an exhibition of Indian technologies, with around 150 stalls from deep-tech start-ups. Visitors will be able to explore technology demonstrations, videos and virtual reality experiences.
Another key feature is the Global Connect Networking Event, which will bring together more than 300 invited participants from India and other countries. It aims to support research partnerships and closer links between universities, research centres and businesses.
The event is focused on setting research priorities and helping turn scientific advances into practical uses across different sectors.
