Odisha Steps Up Cyclone Arnab Preparations

Cyclone Arnab has put coastal areas on alert, prompting nearby states to strengthen their safety plans. Odisha is preparing its emergency teams and shelters to help people in areas that may face the storm’s impact.

According to ANI, Odisha has deployed 313 response teams and kept 2,037 shelters ready, said state Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Wednesday.

The preparations aim to support people in vulnerable areas and help officials respond to weather-related emergencies. Response teams are being kept ready to assist with evacuation and relief work if needed.

The shelter arrangements are also meant to provide people with a safe place during severe weather. Officials are preparing to manage possible disruptions and provide support to affected communities.

The state’s preparations come as Cyclone Arnab continues to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast. Authorities are monitoring the situation and taking steps to reduce the storm’s impact on people and property.
