Online bookings for the 12th May trains would start from 4:00 P.M., on the 11th of May. Limited trains would be run with less number of passengers, following the social distancing norms.
On the night of the 10th of May, the Indian Railway Ministry, announced to re start 15 air conditioned trains from the 12th of May from New Delhi to several cities.
Piyush Goyal, the Railway Minister of India, took to Twitter and said, “Railways plans to gradually restart passenger train operations from May 12, 2020, initially with 15 pairs of special trains connecting New Delhi with major stations across India. Booking in these trains will start at 4 pm on the 11th of May (sic.)”
Only online booking is allowed with the official website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC.)

The 15 special trains would depart from Delhi and connect cities in Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Tripura, Railways.
The official statement released by the Union Railway Ministry said, “These trains will be run as special trains from New Delhi station connecting Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, and Jammu Tawi.”
Speaking about the fare of the tickets, these trains would have only AC coaches (1st Class AC Coach, 2nd class AC Coach and 3rd Class AC Coach.) The train would cost fare similar to Rajdhani trains. In addition, there would be no pantry service in the trains and passengers would need to carry their own blankets.
Wearing a face mask is mandatory for all the passengers and individuals with confirmed tickets would be allowed to enter Delhi station after thermal screening.
