Islamabad, According to media reports, Pakistan’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Sartaj Aziz issued a statement on Tuesday in which he made it clear that Pakistan will hold talks with India only if the Kashmir issue is on the agenda.
He reminded that the previous edition of NSA level talks were halted solely due to the inflexibility shown by the Indian government.
He also added that no dialogue with India can be successful without the Kashmir issue as part of the agenda. “Narendra Modi contested elections on anti-Pakistan platform and now wants to dictate terms for the dialogue with Pakistan but we will never accept this and we have already conveyed it to New Delhi,” Aziz said.

The announcement came on the eve of a dialogue between the Director-General Pakistan Rangers and the Indian Border Security Force chief in New Delhi on Wednesday. He said the meeting is being held in accordance with the Ufa declaration and will help reduce tensions along the Line of Control and Pakistan will definitely raise the issue of ‘unprovoked’ Indian firing.
He opined that the world countries have agreed to the Pakistani point of view regarding the Kashmir issue. The NSA also rubbished claims that Dawood Ibrahim was hiding in Pakistan.
