Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, announced UPI use in France and would begin from the 14th of July, Friday.

Notably, the development came during the two day visit of Mr. Narendra Modi to France.  On the 13th of July, Thursday, Mr. Narendra Modi left for France, on the invitation of Mr. Emmanuel Macron, the President of France.

On the arrival, Mr. Narendra Modi visited Paris, where he made a host of announcements to strengthen the relations between India and France.  He also participated in the Bastille Day celebrations as a Guest of Honour.    Speaking of today’s schedule, Mr. Narendra Modi and President Macron would take part in wide ranging discussions.   After the meeting Mr. Emmanuel Macron, PM Narendra Modi would also meet France Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, President of the Senate Gerard Larcher and President of the National Assembly Yael Braun-Pivet. 

In addition, the Prime Minister of India would also meet leading Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from both the countries as well as French personalities.

Furthermore, after concluding the France tour, Mr. Narendra Modi would fly to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the 15th of July.
