He said,“Since the visibility has been reduced due to dense fog situation, we have taken precautionary measures by announcing the cancellation of these trains in advance.” All the railway stations are making regular announcements in regard with scheduling of the trains and their positions. Help desks have been set up at different stations to guide people in availing travel services for their destinations.

The Meteorological (MeT) department on Monday said the temperature in the NCR New Delhi will range between five to seven degrees for the next week. The temperatures in the NCR have gone down considerably in the past two days. The MeT officials also said that the reason for this change is north-northwest winds that have been bringing cold waves from the Himalayan range.

Strict instructions have been given to all the train drivers to go slowly through the dense fog. Delhi-bound trains have also been affected badly and 34 trains are running late because of fog in different areas.
