More than 100 people died after Demonetisation

Demonetisation move by PM Narendra Modi has been applauded as a commendable move by the world.

Over 100 people died post the Demonetization, because of the move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi blamed Mr. Modi for attacking the poor and said at a congress rally in north Karnataka, “For the first time in the history of India, Prime Minister has attacked the poor people of this country. Usually, the Prime Minister works for the country. They work for the economy, but Narendra Modi has attacked our economic system”.

Rahul said that 99 percent of the people like farmers, small traders, and the middle-class people are only facing trouble because of the Demonetization move to benefit the one percent “rich people.”

Rahul claimed that more than 100 people died when the economic system of India was hindered. He said, “Fidel Castro (Cuban revolutionary) was remembered in the Parliament and we stood in silence for two minutes as a mark of respect to him, but BJP leaders did not have two minutes time for these hundred people.”

“Who is responsible for their deaths? Narendra Modi is responsible….In the last two and half years Narendra Modi government has been attacking the poor”, added Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul said that most of the black money is in the Swiss bank and claimed that the bank had given the details of the Swiss bank account holders to the Indian government. Even after acquiring the information of the account holders their names have not been disclosed. Congress had been asking the Government to table the name of the people but Modi is protecting them.

Rahul added, “Why are Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya sitting in London? Why are they not in India? Why didn’t you get them back? Vijay Mallya is India’s thief. After Demonetization why did you waive Rs.1200 crore loan of this man? Answer me why did you feed him a toffee of Rs. 1200 crore?”

The step towards Demonetization was supposed to benefit the poor and the middle-class sections but has unfortunately affected the poor and many have lost their life.

Is Prime Minister Modi really working towards eradicating corruption?

Is it going to benefit the poor?
