Most of the destination cities in India are crowded during Christmas season but Puducherry is an exception. If you do not prefer crowded spots then don’t give a second thought about visiting Puducherry.
Kerala
The best destination in South India to celebrate Christmas is Kerala– God’s Own Country! The cities look beautiful with trees all around and light all over the streets. Kerala is the home of churches and one can visit the place to experience the festival of joy and peace. The best part about celebrating Christmas in Kerala is that they have a local touch in the way they celebrate the high-spirited festival. Palayam and chalali market are the best of the places to shop during the Christmas season. The local flavors of Kerala, beautiful backwaters, and a visit to the church completes the whole celebration.
