Twenty one year old Sainikhesh Ravichandran, an Indian origin is fighting against the Russian force, in Ukraine. An aerospace engineering student at the Kharkiv National University, is representing the Ukrainian Army.
According to sources, Ravichndran joined the Ukrainian Army after he was rejected twice by the Indian Army. As of now, he is fighting against the Russian army, in the current fight amid Russian invasion of Ukraine. Highlighting about Sainikhesh, his parents are not aware of his son joining the Ukrainian Army, and want their son back in India.
The news of Sainikhesh being in the Ukrainian Army was revealed by the Indian Intelligence Bureau sleuth. The members visited Ravichandran’s hometown and spoke to his parents, who thought their son was working in a video game company.
According to the IB sleuths, he was passionate about the armed forces and showed his room which was plastered with photographs of the Indian Army. As per the officials, Ravichandran was rejected by the Indian Army twice, later he also approached the United States (U.S.,) consulate in Chennai to ascertain whether he could join the US Army.
However, his parents urged the Indian Government to bring back their son and said, “I am terribly upset and I have requested the Government of India to bring my son back. He had contacted us a few days ago and said that he was safe; but he did not heed to our requests to come back.”
The Government of India is yet to respond to the request of Sainikhesh Ravichandran’s parents.
