Bengaluru: The Telegraph, Kolkata-based English daily has once again come into limelight on Thursday for its humorous yet sharp take on the ruling BJP at the centre and Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
In its edition, the newspaper took on HRD Minister Smriti Irani gave a speech on nationalism in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday after calling her “Aunty National”.
The controversy broke out in the nation in the wake of a police crackdown and assault on students in the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi over their alleged ‘anti-national’ slogans.
