Kholapur: Bhoomata Ranragini Brigade Leader, Trupti Desai and her supporters were stopped entering inside the famous Mahalaxmi Temple near Tara Rani Chowki. Desai, managed to get darshan of goddess Mahalaxmi by entering into sanctum of the temple despite the dress code prescribed by police and priests.
After garlanding the statue of Tara Rani at the chowk, the Bhumata Brigade activists had a plan take out a rally up to Mahalaxmi Temple before entering the sanctum.
The police said, the woman are allowed inside the temple ‘girbh griha’ only in saree, but Trupti and her supporters entered the inner sanctum in salwar kameez through some priests and devotees block her way.
Desari said, that people pulled our hair, tore our clothes, and abused. “I think the attackers planned to kill me.” The attackers said `don`t let Trupti Desai get out alive`. The doctor said I could’ve got a paralysis attack, added Desai. She also said that even the priest was abusing them.
