The CEO of The Viral Fever (TVF,) an internet entertainment firm, Arunabh Kumar stepped down from his position. This decision came a few months after Mumbai Police booked him for the assault reported by a woman, who chose to remain anonymous.

TVF is mainly known for satirical takes on Indian politics, movies, lifestyle and the social system. On Friday it announced the appointment of Dhawal Gusain as the new CEO of the company.

Gusain worked as Chief Operating Officer in TVF from 2015. Before that he had a work experience of 10 years in the industry. He has leadership and management experience before joining TVF in various sectors.

A staff member of TVF under a pseudonym Indian Flower posted in a blog on medium.com where in she expressed the assault. She accused him of advances at workplace and several molestation attempts between 2014 and 2016.

In the comments section for this blog, another female employee shared a similar experience and said she “had to face a similar experience while working there. I felt exploited and cheated and I left my job under very bad circumstances.”

In a response to these allegations the company denied all charges initially and said that they would leave no stone unturned to find the author of the article and bring them to severe justice for making such false allegations.
