The BJP leaders in Uttar Pradesh put up a poster portraying Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as a demon, Mahishasur.
Mahishasura is a mythological character. He is a demon king who is killed by Goddess Durga. The poster shows Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as Mahishasura and Priyanka Rawat, a BJP leader, as Goddess Durga.
Priyanka Rawat denied any information about the poster and said, “I have learnt of this only from you. I was unaware of this. I will see who has done it.”
Recently, the INC put some posters, with one of them showing Narendra Modi as Mahishasura. In another poster, Priyanka Gandhi was depicted as a modern Jhansi ki Rani, Rani Laxmibai.
The INC members also put up posters in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh with a slogan, ‘Gorakhpur ki yahi pukar, Priyanka Gandhi sansad is baar (This is the call of Gorakhopur, Priyanka Gandhi will be the parliamentarian this time.)’
Surendra Singh, a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the BJP, recently referred to Rahul Gandhi as Ravana (the embodiment of evil in Ramayana) and Priyanka Gandhi as Surpanakha (Ravana’s sister.)
Ever since Ms. Gandhi joined politics as the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in East Uttar Pradesh, BJP leaders are taking dig at the INC and Rahul Gandhi.
The INC chief, Rahul Gandhi, on the 23rd of January, declared Priyanka Gandhi as the new AICC General Secretary.
