Vistara, an inter-city full carrier flight service on Thursday, said that they would be suspending its operations to Varanasi from the month of March because of economical troubles. They have also announced new flights to Amritsar and Leh.

The Varanasi airport plans to go through runway maintenance from the month of March and also as part of continual network optimization the Vistara plans on suspending services between Delhi and Varanasi.

In a press release, Vistara said that it will also be launching direct flights from Amritsar to the national Capital Region at the same time. Also at the same time, they will introduce flights from Amritsar to Mumbai too.

Vistara Chief Executive Officer Phee Teik Yeoh said in the release, “We are very excited to begin the New Year with the addition of two new destinations to our growing network. The expansion further cements Vistara’s position in the domestic market as a committed player in the Indian aviation sector,”
Vistara operates between the National Capital Region and other regions for six days a week, except for Mondays. They also announced that this will be made to full week starting in summer.
