The West Bengal Government, on January 31, announced to ease the COVID-19 restrictions, amid decline in cases.

Ms. Mamata Banerjee, announced to reopen schools and educational institutions in the State from the 3rd of February, for physical classes.

In addition, during the press conference, the CM said, they also allowed cinema halls, restaurants and bars to operate with 75% occupancy.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) Government also allowed regular flight services to Mumbai and Delhi, from January 31.
