  • Sasikala allegedly supported the sand mafia of Mannargudi which is said to be controlled by her brother V. Divakaran.
  • O. Panneerselvam, the current Chief minister of Tamil Nadu and Sasikala, the competitor, belong to the same community Thevars.
  • Jayalalithaa and Sasikala stayed in the same house at Poes garden, Chennai from 1989-2011,2012 to 2016.
  • Karunanidhi the DMK chief conducted Sasikala’s wedding with Natarajan.
