Martin Crowe, former New Zealand captain dies aged 53

New Zealand: The international cricket community pays tribute to the New Zealand’s greatest batsman of all time Martin Crowe, who passed away on Thursday, 3rd March. The legendary Kiwi batsman was fighting against Lymphoma, a type of cancer detected since 2012. Martin is the brother of Jeff Crowe, who had captained New Zealand earlier.
“It is with heavy hearts that the family of Martin Crowe, MBE advise his death, diagnosed in September 2014 with terminal double hit lymphoma he passed away peacefully today, in Auckland surrounded by family. The family request privacy at this time” commentator’s family said to the media.

The Black Caps legend is also the cousin of Hollywood superstar Russell Crowe, who is deeply hurt with the demise of Martin. Indian crickets took their Twitter handle to express their sadness on the death of “best young batsman in the world.”
