Paris, The clay court king Rafael Nadal flat lined against the world No.1 Novak Djokovic thus losing his french title. This is notably only his second loss at the Rolland Garros. The fourteen-time Grand Slam champion seems to take loss hard.
Previous to this loss the 9 time french open champion Nadal lost just one match in the past 71 appearances at the Roland Garros. His last loss was against 71 appearances at the Roland Garros.
While giving the post match statement Nadal said that the loss was not a surprise as he was in poor form. But the star athlete vowed to reclaim his title back.
The Serbian super star Novak Djokovic won the quarter-final 7-5, 6-3, 6-1. He will now be facing Andy Murray in the semi-finals here.
“I lost in 2009 and it was not the end. I lost in 2015 and it’s not the end. I hope to be back here the next year with another chance,” Nadal said on Wednesday.
