Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is operating 6000 special buses to Medaram Jathara, the largest tribal festival in the world. The RTC had diverted a few normal services to Medaram to facilitate the common devotees.
VC Sajjanar, managing director of TSRTC in a press conference said that 51 camps were arranged at Medaram. He said that the rush of devotees is very high from Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar districts.
Sajjanar posted in X that this is the first time that RTC is operating huge number of buses to Medaram
Sajjanar said that Women travel for free in buses under the Maha Lakshmi scheme to understand the situation. “We have diverted regular services to the festival. Normal passengers and women may face some difficulty,” Sajjanara said.
He asked the passengers to make alternative travel arrangements until the end of the fest. Sajjanar asked the devotees to make use of festive special buses and travel in TSRTC.
