On the 17th of January, Tuesday, Apollo Tyres signed an agreement with the Telangana Government and is set to open a Digital Innovation Centre in Hyderabad.
Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, the Principal Secretary for the Information Technology and Industries Department, signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Neeraj Kanwar, the Managing Director (MD) of Apollo Tyres. The deal was signed in the presence of Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Minister of the Information Technology and Urban Development of Telangana, on the sidelines of the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Speaking of another achievement of Telangana, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said, “Telangana and Hyderabad are a perfect choice for Apollo Tyres’ Digital Innovation Centre, which will be a wonderful addition to this ecosystem.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Neeraj Kanwar stated that digitalisation was one of the key pillars for achieving the company’s FY26 vision and setting up of this DIC in Hyderabad, was part of its digital strategy. He further extended gratitude to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led Telangana Government for its support.
As per the signed MoU, Apollo Tyres would set its second Digital Innovation Centre (DIC) in Hyderabad, the first one is in London, the United Kingdom (U.K.)
In addition, for the second DIC set up in Telangana, Apollo Tyres would have a digital strategy to implement Industry 4.0, using new age technologies like IoT (Internet of Things,) Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI,) Machine Learning (ML,) Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and BlockChain. The new business models and market leading customer service would help the company to have better development and deliver implementation to its customers.
Furthermore, Apollo Tyres’ new DIC would drive significant efficiency gains and agility in the company’s supply chain, transforming manufacturing efficiencies and aim sustainable goals.
