In Hyderabad’s Hussain Sagar, a major mishap averted, after the Tourism Department took a quick action and saved life of forty people.

Notably, on the 25th of April, Tuesday, due to thunderstorms and rainstorm, a boat carrying 40 passengers, stopped working.  According to the sources, the passengers were returning to the jetty when heavy thunderstorms caught the city off guard, resulting in a perilous situation.  The famous Bhagmati boat started its journey from the Buddha statue on a regular basis at five o’clock on Tuesday evening, but stopped working amid thunderstorm.

Despite several efforts, the boat failed to start, leading to a dangerous situation for passengers, in the middle of the Hussain Sagar.   However, the quick action of the Telangana Tourism Department of towing the boat back to the Hyderabad Boat Club’s jetty saved lives and avoided a dangerous mishap.  A senior police officer from the Central Zone Police. “The boat suddenly stopped working due to unexpected bad weather.  However, the people traveling on the boat were safe.”
