A series of police cases involving BRS leaders and their aides has intensified the political dispute between the BRS and the Telangana government.
The latest case involves K.T. Rama Rao’s PRO Mahesh Manikya Mudiraj, who appeared before Saifabad police for questioning over the September 7 Assembly gate incident. He was later taken to Bolarum police station in another case linked to an alleged obstruction of police duties at a check-post on September 8. Police later served him a notice under Section 35(3) of the BNSS and released him.
The Telangana High Court also recently directed police not to arrest BRS social media convenor Manne Krishank in a case linked to a social media post. The court asked police to follow the BNSS procedure and directed Krishank to cooperate with the investigation.
In another case, the Nampally court rejected the remand plea against BRS MLCs T. Madhusudhan Reddy, also known as Tatha Madhu, and N. Naveen Kumar Reddy, granting them bail on personal bonds.
The developments have added to the ongoing political and legal tensions between the BRS and the Congress government in Telangana.
