After Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi, actor turned politician Mr. Pawan Kalyan also ignored Jr NTR, while congratulating Ram Charan for the win of RRR.
Notably, magnum opus produced RRR won big at the HCA Film Awards 2023. The Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer film was recognised under five categories – namely, Best Action Film, Best Stunts, Best Song (Naatu Naatu,) Spotlight Award and Best International Film categories.
However, while director Mr. S.S. Rajamouli and co lead actor Ram Charan made their presence felt at the show, Jr NTR was missing at the HCA Awards. Interestingly, Komaram Bheem of RRR, Jr. NTR was also absent in congratulatory notes shared by Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan.
Chiranjeevi tweeted, “Sir @JimCameron an acknowledgement of his character in #RRR from a Global Icon & Cinematic Genius like you is no less than an Oscar itself! It’s a great honor for @AlwaysRamCharan As a father I feel proud of how far he’s come. Ur compliment is a blessing for his future endeavours”
While one can argue that Chiranjeevi’s tweet was a father championing his son, now, actor and politician Power Star Pawan Kalyan too has seemingly ignored Jr NTR.
In his latest press note, he congratulated Ram Charan and Rajamouli for RRR, receiving the awards in HCA- Hollywood Critics Association Awards, but ignored Jr NTR, who also played the lead role in this film.
All this has led to fans questioning the absence of Jr NTR from the awards show itself. Earlier today the official Twitter handle of the Hollywood Critics Association addressed the fans and supporters of RRR and opened up on Jr NTR’s absence from the coveted awards night.
The association tweeted, “Dear RRR fans & supporters, We did invite N. T. Rama Rao Jr. to attend the #HCAFilmAwards but he is shooting a new film in India. He will be receiving his awards from us shortly. Thank you for all your love and support. Sincerely, The Hollywood Critics Association.
Meanwhile, the S.S. Rajamouli directorial RRR has been sent for Oscars 2023, in the best song category, representing India. Oscars 2023 are scheduled to be held on the 12th of March.
