The Telangana State Government, on the 21st of March, declared a health emergency in Karimnagar, where there are 8 positive Novel Coronavirus cases .
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is taking measures in the district to avoid the spread of virus. The TRS officials are also conducting a door to door survey and collecting details of the people residing in the areas. Especially, eight Indonesians who came in contact with the locals in Karimnagar.
A restriction of 3 km radius was also imposed in the Collectorate office area and Mukarampura, where the Indonesians stayed.
Gangula Kamalakar, the Backward Class (BC) Welfare and Civil Supply Minister of Telangana, Y. Shekar Rao, the Mayor of Hyderabad and other medical officials are working from the ground level. The team supervised by Gangula Kamalakar is spreading awareness to the people advising them to be inside their houses until further notice.
On the other hand, medical checkups were given to people who are suffering from cold and cough and getting their COVID-19 tests done. Until the reports come, the people are suggested to be self quarantined in their houses.
Telangana is in full swing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the State. Till date, Telangana has a total of 17 COVID-19 positive cases.
