COVID-19 TRS Donates 500 Crores To CM Fund Relief, After Number Rises 44

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, on the 25th of March, decided to donate Rs. 500 crores to fight the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

To fight the Novel Coronavirus, a few Members of Parliament (MPs,) Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) collected money and donated it to the relief funds.

Beside MPs and MLAs, Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs,) TRS activists, members and leaders also extended support and tried to help the people of Telangana.

The initiative to raise funds personally was taken under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana. 

K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, took to his official Twitter handle and announced the donation collected by 16 MPsand MLAs amounting to Rs. 500 crores, to the CM Relief Fund. 

“Happy & proud to announce that all Ministers, MPs, MLAs & MLCs of @trspartyonline have declared one year constituency development fund/MP LADs & salary (Approx ₹ 500 Crores) to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.”

Many TRS leaders even gave their monthly salaries to fight the situation in India.

Till date, Telangana reported a total of 44 COVID-19 cases.  All patients are being treated in isolation wards at the State run Gandhi Hospital and are in stable condition.
