The Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPM District Secretary Mr. Nageswara Rao Nunna announced a Bharat Bandh, on the 20th of September.

On the 30th of August, Monday, Mr. Nageswara Rao Nunna took a dig at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding various issues in the State. During a press meet yesterday, the CPM District Secretary said the K. Chandrashekar Rao Government failed to implement schemes and welfare promises made in the Party manifesto, released during the 2018 Assembly elections.

Mr. Nageswara Rao Nunna said the CPM cadres would protest in September against the ruling Government.

The CPM leader reminded that KCR had promised to solve Poduland issues for the tribals but never acted upon it, even after coming into power twice. He also said that the TRS Government failed to provide jobs to the youth with not a single job notification.

Nageswara Rao Nunna said KCR and his TRS Government duped all sections of the people in the State.

During the press meet, the CPM also said they would be organising a Bharat Bandh against the three farm laws on the 20th of September.

The three farm laws which were proposed and passed by the Central Government in September 2020 witnessed criticism and protest from farmers. According to the farmers the three laws are: the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
