The Indian National Congress (INC) on the 2nd of November wrote a letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI.) 

According to sources, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) requested the ECI to disqualify the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Raghunandan Reddy.

Raghunandan Reddy is the BJP candidate for the Dubbaka by poll.

The letter was written after the Telangana police seized Rs.18 lakhs in a raid.

Recently, during a raid the Telangana police seized Rs. 18 lakhs from the residence of the BJP candidate Raghunandan Reddy.

In addition, Rs.1 crore was recovered from the kin of Raghunandan Rao.

Addressed to Sunil Arora, the Chief Election Commissioner Congress, the INC leaders attached the details of the raid.

After Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Dubbaka passed away, the MLA position fell vacant. Mr. Ramalinga Reddy died of cardiac arrest on the 6th of August at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.

In regard to this, amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation, the Telangana State Election Commission released a notice for the Dubbaka by polls.

According to the released notification, the election will be scheduled on the 3rd November, 2020.

The results of the elections would be announced on the 10th of November.
