The Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to issue an official notification regarding the upcoming Huzurabad by election in Telangana. The much awaited poll has been the talk of Telangana politics since a long time, with the involvement of all the three major parties.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is working to ensure their victory in the soon to be held Huzurabad election.
The official notice of the Huzurabad Assembly constituency by poll is expected in the third week of August. However, an official date for the election is yet to be announced. With the issue of the notice anytime now, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) would also come into effect in Huzurabad.
The Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) seat of the Huzurabad Assembly constituency fell vacant after Mr. Eatala Rajender resigned from the MLA post after quitting the TRS.
Later, the former Health Minister of Telangana and member of the TRs joined the BJP making the Huzurabad by poll a tough fight between the TRS and the BJP.
After the exit of Eatala Rajender from the TRS, the Huzurabad by election win against the BJP is the main target of the ruling Government.
Considering the importance of the Huzurabad election, the TRS President Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao asked the leaders to intensify poll arrangements and campaign in Huzurabad. T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana is supervising the campaign and is working effortlessly to ensure the TRS’s victory.
On the other hand, the BJP which is expected to nominate Eatala Rajender as the BJP MLA candidate for the Huzurabad election also geared up to campaign in Huzurabad.
