Eight more district collectorate complexes are all set for inauguration in Telangana. The Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would finalise the date of inauguration.
The new Integrated District Collectorate Complexes awaiting inauguration are located in Nizamabad, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Yadadri Bhongir, Jangaon and Vikarabad. It is to be noted, in the past, the Telangana Chief Minister has inaugurated 4 Integrated Collectorate Complexes in Warangal Urban, Siddipet, Kamareddy and Rajanna Sircilla districts.
The discussion over the new inauguration is underway and soon a date would be finalised. A senior official of Roads and Building Department, close to the development said, “All the eight Integrated Collectorate Complexes are ready and the woodwork too has been completed. We only need to tidy them up before the inauguration.”
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government took up the construction of 28 Integrated District Collectorate Complexes in Telangana. To this extent, the State Government released Rs. 1,500 crores. Of these 28 complexes, 4 have already been inaugurated, 8 are set for the inauguration and the work of the remaining 16 are underway. Nearly 13 more complexes would be ready by Makar Sankranti, 2022.
Each complex is spread over 1.5-1.7 lakh sq ft at an estimated cost of Rs. 50 crore to Rs. 60 crores. The district collectorate complexes have waiting rooms for the public, auditoriums, conference halls with modern communication equipment, parking spaces, toilets and other amenities.
The complexes would also have a helipad to facilitate the movement of VIPs. These complexes would also house the residence and camp offices of the district collector and additional collectors.
Meanwhile, the 8 ready to inaugurate complexes are likely to be inaugurated during Dussehra festival in Telangana. However, an official date announcement is yet to be made.
