The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections voting count is still underway.
While in majority of seats/divisions, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is leading, the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are also giving a tough fight.
According to the AIMIM, their candidates have won from 10 divisions, including Dabeerpura, Ramnaspura, Doodh Bowli, Kishanbagh, Nawab, Sahab Kunta, Barkas, Pathergatti, Puranapool, Riyasat Nagar and Ahmed Nagar.
Meanwhile as per the TRS, its candidate Rajkumar Patel, won from Yousufguda division and Rasuri Sunitha, won from Mettuguda division.
The Indian National Congress (INC) said its candidate Sirisha Reddy, won the A S Rao Nagar seat.
Highlighting the stand of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Party is leading in nearly 40 divisions. However, the Party so far did not win from any division.
The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) continues to maintain the lead in most of the divisions of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), while the BJP and the Asaduddin Owaisi led AIMIM fight it out for the second spot.
According to the officially announced results by the State Election Commission (SEC,) the TRS and AIMIM have won 7 seats each and the Indian National Congress secured only 1 seat.
Counting of votes in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections began at 8:00 A.M., today and is still underway.
