The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB,) on the 25th of August, issued a press release, stating there would be no drinking water supply from the 26th of August to the 29th of August in certain parts of Hyderabad.
The drinking water supply will be cut temporarily in some areas of Hyderabad, as the HMWSSB is plans to do some maintenance work.
According to the HMWSSB press release, from 1:00 A.M., on the 26th of August to 6:00 A.M., on the 27th of August, areas such as Kakatiya Nagar, Salarjung Colony, Vijaynagar Colony, Chintal Basti and Humayun Nagar will not have drinking water supply. The HMWSSB will do maintenance work on the Osman Sagar conduit and clean the folder beds at Asifnagar.
From 6:00 A.M., on the 28th of August to 6:00 P.M., on the 29th of August, the areas where the water supply will be cut are Aliabad, Kishanbagh, Saidabad, Chanchalguda, Yakutpura, Malakpet, Moosarambagh, Afzalgunj, Narayanaguda, Adikmet, Chilkalguda and Dilsukhnagar.
Apart from maintenance and cleaning work, the HMWSSB will also carry out repair work in the pipeline of the Krishna Drinking Water Scheme Phase I, between Godakondla and Gungal in Takkellapalli.
As the water supply will be limited, the residents of the mentioned areas are advised to use water judiciously.
