The Telangana Youth Congress has accused the Hyderabad police of conducting a raid on their ‘war room’ located on Road No. 12 in Banjara Hills.
On the 16th of May, Tuesday, the Telangana Youth Congress said, the police seized four computers, a pen drive, a hard disk and mobile phones, during the raid. Getting into the details, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee said, two individuals, dressed in plain clothes, including a person identified as sub inspector Naresh and a constable conducted searches, which lasted for approximately one hour
Mr. Rajesh, a member of the social media team who was present at the office during the search, stated that the two individuals claimed to possess a search warrant and obtained his signature on it. However, they declined to provide a copy of the warrant to the Youth Congress members.
The Telangana Youth Congress further said, “After Karnataka Congress president D.K. Shivakumar stated that Youth Congress leaders had played an active role in their win, the Telangana government started targeting us. This is nothing but a politics of vendetta.”
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Police refused to comment anything on the conducted raid.
