The South Central Railway (SCR) constituted a committee to conduct a probe regarding the train collision on the 11th of November.
According to sources, the constituted committee of 6 members would investigate the collision between the two trains, which took place near Kacheguda Railway Station.
On the 11th of November, around 10:30 A.M., a Multi Modal Transport System (MMTS) train from Malakpet and the Kurnool-Secunderabad Hundry Intercity Express collided with each other.
The SCR released a statement, according to which, Train Number (No.) 47178 Lingampalli–Falaknuma MMTS service derailed due to a collision with Train No. 17028 Kurnool City–Secunderabad Hundry Intercity Express.
The accident left 12 passengers injured and as many as 9 coaches of both the trains were affected badly.
Senior Railway official Sri B.B. Singh, the Additional General Manager, the Chief Security Commissioner, the Division Railway Manager, the Chief Medical Director, the Chief Safety Officer and others rushed to the spot.
The rescue operation is underway.
