Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is soon going to issue a job notification for posts in the Forest Department.
Balineni Srinivas Reddy, the Forest Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) announced the same at an event organised to mark the Forest Martyrs’ Day, on the 11th of November.
Balineni Srinivas Reddy said the State Government is committed to protecting the forests and environment in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Reddy addressed the public at the event, which was organised at the Kambalakonda Eco Tourism Park, Hyderabad. During the event, Balineni paid his tribute to the forest officials who sacrificed their lives while protecting wildlife. He said, “This day is also meant to commemorate their sacrifices and protect the wealth of the forest.”
Balineni Srinivas Reddy paid tribute to 18 forest employees who lost their lives on duty.
The Forest Department is going to issue a notification for approximately 2,500 jobs in the department. The notification for the same is expected to be issued in January 2020.
The Forest Minister also said major forest offices would be constructed in the developed areas of AP. Officials of the Forest Department would be given vehicles for work related travel.
Minister Balineni also said Andhra Pradesh has a total of 6,000 tonnes of red sand, which they decided to auction after approval from the Central Government.
N. Prateep Kumar, the Chief Conservator of Forests, Members of Parliament (MPs,) YSRCP leaders and R.K. Meena, the Police Commissioner of AP, attended the event.
